Secure My Treasures

Is your jewellery safe? Really?

Home invasions are on the rise in most Australian states. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in 2023, 160,885 Australians became victims of unlawful entry with intent. The statistics are alarming.

Thieves tend to take items that are easily found and effortless to remove. They have no consideration of the sentimental value of any item that is precious to you. This includes jewellery, a prime target for thieves because of its relatively small size and re-sale value. It is too well known that at night many people still leave their jewellery on their bedside table offering a gemstone buffet for home invaders.

Theoretically, home safes or a bank safe or a custody vault or packet are a great way to protect your jewellery. That is, unless you delay returning it back to your safe.

A home safe is unlikely to protect your jewellery if your sapphire ring flushes down the loo or you leave your gold bracelet on the back seat of an Uber. No safe will save your jewellery if your necklace clasp breaks and it quietly falls into the slip stream of pedestrian traffic or if you take your rings and bracelets off to wash your hands in a restaurant and leave them by the basin.

Unfortunately, a home safe may have only limited protective value in a natural disaster such as a fire, flood or earthquake. But Secure My Treasures can help you to know exactly what is in your safe.

Secure My Treasures offers a very effective way to keep your jewellery safe and secure. Store photos and videos of each of your jewellery pieces and loose gemstones in your Secure My Treasures jewellery chest.
