Family Estrangement

It may be a taboo subject but family estrangement, where one or more members of a family have no contact with others as a result of real or perceived negativity, is far more common than you think. One in 25 adult Australians will be estranged from their family at some point in their life. Family estrangement contributes to anxiety and other mental health challenges for all those impacted. The prospect of reuniting with a family or family member is a daunting test of emotional strength and resilience.
